My joint honours degree in Fine Art and English Literature has been an education in how to produce work in two different disciplines, with different approaches and energy. This project is a personal investigation into engaging with creative and academic outlets, and whether I can merge the two into a hybrid means of learning. As a newcomer to writing poetry, deconstructing the creative process became an important part of learning how to write. I began to document each stage I found, discovering routines and patterns as I went. My final work is an exhibition of the method I used to configure fractured ideas over a period of time into an encompassing whole. My piece is being shown in the entrance to the theatre upstairs, with a projection and audio performance.
