My current project is on the theme of introspection and self-reflection. It began with analysing my own creative process, particularly in regard to my poetry writing, and the realisation that poetry for me is not only an emotional outlet, but a coping mechanism for negative feelings.

I want to use visual poetry, so I have put together a series of short experimental films which are accompanied by handmade lanterns. This gives the installation a 3D aspect which compliments the 2D. The lanterns symbolise, quite literally, the light within us all - whatever form that may take - which keeps us going through difficult times.
